Our Story
Bush Bound grew out of a simple idea: Gonarezhou deserves to be planned by people who know it. We are a small team based in Harare with years of experience guiding, managing camps and organising safaris across Zimbabwe.
We work with the camps and operators in the park, and with the agents and lodges who bring us their guests. We don't pretend to be everything. We plan well, book carefully and keep the details in order, so the safari itself can be as wild and relaxed as it should be.
Meet the team
Doug Macdonald
Doug has guided in Zimbabwe and across Africa for more than 30 years. When a trip is guided privately, he brings that first-hand knowledge of the animals, the landscape and the history of the area.
Tricia Bays
Tricia leads our planning team, designing itineraries for Gonarezhou and beyond, including flights and transfers.
Giving Back
We collaborate closely with the Gonarezhou Conservancy to ensure the protection of this unique park. Our commitment to sustainable ecotourism drives us to implement practices that not only enhance visitor experiences but also contribute positively to the local environment. By partnering with local conservation agencies, we actively support initiatives that promote biodiversity and preserve the natural heritage of the region. Together, we strive to create a harmonious balance between tourism and conservation for future generations.
